Welcome to Living Free. I’m Emilly, mum to two amazing children, Hunter & Luna, and wife to their incredible and supportive Dad, Michael. We are an unschooling family from Australia and never once did we think this would be our path. We never imagined that we would homeschool our kids, let alone unschool, but here we are! I was a primary teacher but the moment I held our son in my arms there was shift in values and I knew that being together was going to be more important than anything else.

We love spending time in nature, enjoying the simple and mundane moments, slow mornings and making deep connections with friends and family. We want to experience this life together and enjoy every moment of childhood with our kids. We aren’t in any rush to to get to the next stage, we are living for today, Living Free.

I aim to inspire you in own homeschooling journeys and using my experience as a teacher help to shift your perception of education as something that happens at school to something that occurs naturally as we live a meaningful, connected and simple life.
